Definition of Personal Information
In this Policy, personal information refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act").
Cookies and IP Address Information
Cookies and IP address information will be appropriately handled as information related to an individual (following the definition in the Personal Information Protection Act). When using such information related to individuals in our Services, we will disclose the purpose and methods of use. Additionally, cookies can be rejected through browser settings. If rejecting cookies prevents the use of our Services, we will also announce this fact.
Collection of Personal Information
The Company may request users of the Services (hereinafter simply referred to as "Users") to provide information such as name, gender, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, and other information when using the Services.
Purpose of Using Personal Information

- Limitations on the use of personal information
The Company will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the Purpose of Use without obtaining prior consent from the individual. Even when personal information is acquired due to a merger or other reasons, the Company will not handle it beyond the scope of the Purpose of Use prior to the succession without obtaining prior consent from the individual. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
- When based on laws and regulations
- When necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- When especially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organization, local government, or a person commissioned by them in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual might impede the execution of such affairs
- Proper acquisition of personal information
The Company will acquire personal information properly and will not obtain it through deception or other wrongful means. We will also take care not to collect personal information from minors without the consent of their parents or guardians.
Notification of Purpose of Use When Acquiring Personal Information
When acquiring personal information, the Company will either publish the Purpose of Use in advance or promptly notify the individual of the Purpose of Use after acquiring the personal information. However, this does not apply in the following cases:
- When notifying the individual of the Purpose of Use or publishing it may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
- When notifying the individual of the Purpose of Use or publishing it may harm the rights or legitimate interests of the Company
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organization or local government in executing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and notifying the individual of the Purpose of Use or publishing it might impede the execution of such affairs
- When the Purpose of Use is evident considering the circumstances of acquisition
- Changes to the Purpose of Use of personal information
When changing the Purpose of Use for personal information, the Company will only make changes that remain reasonably related to the original purpose. We will notify individuals or publicly announce any such changes to the Purpose of Use. However, this notification requirement does not apply in the cases listed in items (1) through (4) of the previous section.
Security Management of Personal Information and Employee Supervision
The Company will establish internal regulations concerning personal information protection and provide necessary and appropriate supervision of employees to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and to ensure other security management measures for personal information.
Supervision of Contractors
When outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information, the Company will exercise necessary and appropriate oversight of our service providers. This includes incorporating specific security provisions in our contracts to ensure that service providers maintain proper safeguards for personal information.
Limitations on Providing Personal Information to Third Parties
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining prior consent from the individual, except in the following cases:
- When required by law
- When necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
- When especially necessary for improving public health or promoting the healthy development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency or their contractor in carrying out affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent might interfere with the execution of such affairs
- When the following matters have been announced or published in advance
- The Company's name, location, and representative's name
- Disclosure that the Purpose of Use includes providing information to third parties
- Categories of personal information provided to third parties
- Methods of collecting personal information provided to third parties
- Methods of providing information to third parties
- That provision of personal information to third parties will be stopped upon the individual's request
- Methods of accepting requests from individuals
- Other matters specified by rules of the Personal Information Protection Commission as necessary for protecting the rights and interests of individuals
Exceptions to Limitations on Third-Party Provision
Notwithstanding the previous section, in the following cases, the recipient of personal information shall not be considered a third party, and the Company may provide such information:
- When the Company outsources all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the Purpose of Use
- When personal information is provided as part of a business succession due to a merger or other reasons
- When personal information is jointly used with specific persons, provided that the individual has been notified in advance or the information is in a state where the individual can easily learn about: the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use by the joint users, and the name of the person responsible for managing the personal information
- Publication of matters related to personal information
The Company will make the following matters concerning personal information accessible to individuals and respond without delay to any requests:
- The name, location, and representative of the Company as a personal information handling business operator
- The Purpose of Use of personal information, except where exempted under the Personal Information Protection Act. If a decision is made not to respond, the individual will be notified without delay.
- Contact information for inquiries regarding personal information
- Procedures for responding to requests for notification of the Purpose of Use or disclosure of retained personal information, and the fees applicable to such requests
- Measures taken to ensure the security of retained personal information, except where disclosure might compromise the security of such information
- Disclosure of personal information
When an individual requests disclosure of their personal information or records of third-party provision, the Company will disclose such information without delay. However, the Company may choose not to disclose all or part of the information if disclosure would:
- Risk harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
- Significantly interfere with the proper execution of the Company's business operations
- Violate other laws or regulations
- Correction of Personal Information
When an individual requests correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction") of personal information on the grounds that it is inaccurate, the Company will promptly conduct necessary investigations within the scope required to achieve the Purpose of Use, unless special procedures are stipulated by other laws and regulations. Based on the results of such investigations, the Company will make appropriate corrections to the personal information and notify the individual accordingly.
Suspension of Use of Personal Information
When an individual requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use") of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the previously announced Purpose of Use, or that it was obtained through deception or other wrongful means, the Company will promptly conduct necessary investigations. Based on the results of such investigations, the Company will suspend the use of the personal information and notify the individual accordingly.
However, if suspending the use of personal information would incur significant costs or otherwise be difficult to implement, and if alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the individual, the Company may implement such alternative measures instead.
Explanation of Decisions
When the Company makes any of the following decisions contrary to an individual's request and notifies them of such decision, the Company will strive to explain the reasoning behind the decision:
- Not disclosing the Purpose of Use
- Not disclosing all or part of the personal information
- Not correcting the personal information
- Not suspending the use of the personal information
- Not stopping the provision of personal information to third parties
- Taking measures different from those requested by the individual
- Changes to the Privacy Policy
The Company may modify this Policy as needed. Unless otherwise specified, any revised version of this Policy will become effective upon being posted on this website.
